Here's a few shots of my old coal mine guys! I found this old kit in a hobby shop, it was behind a bunch of other kits and literally covered in dust, not to mention missing the assembly instructions, so I winged it Cheers, Lorin PS.It's also lighted and looks very sharp at night!

Hi Lorin, Looking good. Fortunately, in my last house I had tons of room, especially in the attic. So my layout was 24 X 32 feet, with a 4 X 4 empty section towards the centre containing a swivel chair and the controls, electric junction levers, signal controls and of course the loco controls. I did make one big error when I started constructing the scenery, on the left of the layout was a series of large hills, made of plaster of paris and chicken wire, this contained a long tunnel, about 17 feet in actual length. It looked great, until a train I was running decided to derail right in the middle of it. I couldn't get it out, my hand was too big to go through the portal and besides I couldn't stretch to the opening anyway. I sent in another loco to try and push it out. You guessed it. It got stuck as well, couldn't even reverse it. In the end I had to dismantle the whole range of hills (making a hell of a mess in the process) to get at my train and loco.. I can laugh about it these days, but boy, was I upset at the time. Needless to say all future tunnels had a removable top. Anyway, the point of that rather long explanation is 'Always have access to your trains'. You never know Lorin, Ish, you might win the state lottery and build one a bit bigger than Berlin's. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever have the room, time, or money to build another beast like that one, but I have been notified in my spam mail that I've won the jackpot in the Californian State Lottery. All they want is $100 to forward it on to me. Not bad seeing that I've never even done that Lottery. . They must think people are s Oh well, early start tomorrow, its gone midnight here. night all Pete.

Hi Ishie, Not only have I seen that model, I've actually used it in one of my old routes. Of course, that was a while ago, before our friendship developed so I didn't associate it with you until now. Nice work Buddie Catch you later Pete.
